All fine, but service disappoints

The balcony view was breathtaking.

We had a fantastic four-night stay, and I have to highlight the stunning city view from our room and the extravagant breakfast with fresh pastries. The infinity pool views were absolutely breathtaking! I'd definitely come back.

The Deluxe King Ocean View room was spacious and super comfy. Waking up to views of Sugarloaf was a highlight. The bed was really soft, and the room was kept spotless. We loved the powerful waterfall shower with great-smelling shower gel. Super relaxing atmosphere overall!

The location is fantastic! We loved the easy access to the Copacabana Beach and the beautiful views from our room. The pool area was great for the kids, and having room service made our stay more convenient.

In my wife’s opinion, quality of food during breakfast needs improvement.

The views from the room were breathtaking, especially the vibrant city skyline. The complimentary cold scented towels at the pool offered refreshing relief from the heat. The breakfast spread was extensive, featuring high-quality pastries and fresh fruits, making mornings delightful.

The location is perfect, right on the edge of Copacabana Beach and just a short walk to Ipanema. Our room had an amazing view of the beach, making our stay all the more special. The staff was outstanding, especially the concierge, who went above and beyond to help us. The evening live music added a nice touch to our experience. However, the bed was softer than I preferred, and our room wasn't cleaned one day despite asking for it.

While the hotel boasts a prime location, the experience can be marred by inconveniences. The room’s bedding felt uncomfortably hard, detracting from relaxation after a long day. Noise from live music affected the serenity, with disruptions peaking from 8 to 10 PM, making it tough to enjoy time in the room. The breakfast selection could use an overhaul. pastries didn’t hit the mark and the supposedly fresh fruit seemed subpar. Also, the private beach area had a noisy generator nearby that killed the relaxation vibe. These elements might not bother everyone, but they hit a bit hard for those seeking a luxurious break.

The views from my room? Pure magic! Waking up to the shimmering ocean right outside was everything I dreamed of. Plus, the staff went above and beyond, surprising me with delightful room service and a vibrant vibe at the bar.

The Fairmont in Rio is located perfectly between Copacabana and Ipanema, giving stunning views. The pool areas are gorgeous, and the staff were friendly. The gym is well-equipped and clean, which I appreciated. However, the room had issues. The bed was too soft for my liking, and the pillows were too thin. I had concerns about cleanliness. the sheets had holes, and my room wasn't cleaned for two days despite putting out the sign and calling reception. Dining was disappointing. food and drinks were overpriced and not exceptional. While I enjoyed the view from the restaurant, service needed improvement. The concierge didn’t offer helpful recommendations for nearby restaurants. I had high hopes, but overall, the experience didn’t meet the luxury standard I expected. I would think twice before staying again.

Would recommend for a relaxing holiday

Beautiful pool, comfortable room, spectacular location, made my stay enjoyable with excellent breakfast options and friendly staff ready to assist with any request.

No complaints whatsoever.
